Digital painting

The course DIGITAL PAINTING is the first part of the Academy 2D-course, which is dedicated to collages and basic skills of young artists, and it is the first step in exploration of the casual graphics. Casual style is characterized by a bright, attractive graphics, which does not create heavy load on the computer.

The term “casual” is derived from the Latin word “casualis”, which means “random”. It used primarily to casual games, although today it is a separate style in fashion, design, etc. Casual game – a game that is played from time to time, in between times. In view of its purpose, this game usually has enough simple rules and does not require any good computer skills. This trend in gaming is now very popular.

This course is created not only for those who want to get acquainted with the casual direction, but also for those who make the first steps in digital graphics. An experienced instructor will teach you how to use a graphics tablet and professional work in Photoshop, hold lectures about light, colors, composition, art basics. Also, you will learn how to create a casual work on common specifications.

1.2 Working with brushes and their capabilities.

1.4 Working with selections and layers.
1.5 Using and working with the tablet.

2.1. Examples of application and usage of some additional plug-ins and expansion of the program’s capabilities with them.
3 MODULE / Composition, theory and practice
3.1 Creating of a scene and workspace.
3.2 Location and ratio of objects in the workspace.
3.3 Some ways to solve problems caused by compositional construction.
4 MODULE / Purposeful Photoshop usage for creating scenes and illustrations
4.1 Search and selection of material for creating a scene and illustration.
4.2 Collage and post-processing.
4.3 Preparing to create a scene on a given topic.
4.4 Creating and working on a scene on a given topic.
5 MODULE / Creating and processing the final scene
5.1 Portfolio creating.
